INFORMATION FOR FACILITATORS

The 4 CC workshop manuals are protected by copyright so you must formally request them for printing and binding at a local printer. Contact your provincial MLF or the National Contact for these files. The current version is August 2008.

The large manuals (Toolbox and Reference) will be sent via a FTP service in .pdf format. The smaller manuals will be sent by regular Email. To keep costs down, the manuals should be printed in b/w with only colour covers. Colour versions of the maps in the Toolbox are available (as required) at the Colour Maps link.

Supplementary forms and files for CC Workshops

(most of them are MS Word files - click on link, print, and copy)

1. Slides for CC Workshop. These are the slides that are referenced in the Facilitator's Guide.

2. Handouts for CC Workshop.  Site safety checklist, EAP worksheet, self-assessment form, Action Card, Ideas card.

3. NCCP Profile form. Personal information about the new coach for the CAC database. This info should be sent to National Contact until we set up provincial NCCP "agents".

4. Evaluation Form - Coach. This is the evaluation form that the new Comm. Coaches fill in after the workshop. These must be passed on to the provincial MLF who will then summarize the comments and pass the information to the National Contact Person. The comments provided will help us improve the content and delivery of the program.

Costs for the workshop

We have been publishing nationally that the cost of the workshop to participants will be between $50 and $65 - just so participants know what to expect.

The factors in this estimate include these assumptions:

printing & binding of workshop manuals - $30 per set plus a Facilitator's Guide

rental of classroom - $100 per workshop

honorarium for Facilitator - $150

e.g. If there are 7 participants, then the distributed cost will be about $65 per student. The facilitator should assist the students to find supporting grants from O-clubs and/or the provincial association to help reduce these costs.
